Unable to add Homebase2. No sound after QR code scan

I follow the steps of the initial setup.
However, after the successful scan of the QR code the Homebase 2 does not emit sound . The sync/alarm off button flashes, and if I press it the configuration is complete!
However the homebase continue to lack sound. I tried in the settings, while changing the volume. No sound goes out. All other settings work ok.
This also seems to prevent it from adding eufycam 2c cameras.
Is this a hardware defect in the Homebase?
