Triggers based on a Schedule

Currently the Eufy Security mode “Schedule” only works when kept in this specific Security Mode. There is no way to automatically re-enable the “Schedule” mode once someone manually switches to another mode.

When using Eufy to secure Small or Medium size Businesses (SMB) it would be essential to have a scheduled trigger activate a certain Security Mode, but NOT disable it on a schedule. Disabling is only done by users/staff that come in to the office. If they forget to enable the alarm when they leave, we want a Trigger on a specific Schedule to activate a specific Security Mode, e.g. every day at 20:00.

One way to accomplish this would be by having something like an IFTT (If This Then That) trigger on a schedule that activates a certain Eufy Security Mode.

This would allow us to accomplish the following scenario, i.a.:

  • The alarm is always enabled (e.g. Security Mode: “Away”)
  • A users comes in to the office and MANUALLY disables the alarm (e.g. switches to Security Mode: “Home” using the Eufy Keypad (T8960).
  • When the user has left the office, but forgot to manually enable the alarm, a trigger automatically switches the alarm back to enabled at a predefined time (e.g. back to Security Mode: “Away”)
