Solving a Difficulty with Installation

Hi eufy user,

Congratulations on adding WLC, you can experience its amazing features when you install it on the wall. Before that we have a guide on installation to share with you, DIYer will be very helpful if you are doing it yourself.

Background
We received feedback from a user about a gap in the mounting base after installation, and that the side screws are difficult to install. There is a foam ring that resists ingress by water and the product has an IP65 waterproof rating. The gap will have no impact on use or reliability. Additionally, we have analyzed the reasons that led to the feedback and helped the user to solve the problems. In order for every DIYer to have an easy and trouble-free installation experience, we have made this supplementary guide to help any users having a similar experience.

Cause
If there is a large gap after installation, the most likely cause is the position or rigidity of the wires within the mounting base not allowing enough space for the parts to fit together.

Solution
If you have the same problem, rest assured that despite the small gap, the waterproofing is intact and you don’t need to be concerned about it. There is a foam ring that resists water penetration and the product has an IP65 waterproof rating. The gap will have no impact on use.

If you experience this problem, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Cut the long wires to free up space within the mounting base
  2. Put more of the wires in the wall cavity behind the mounting base
  3. Bend the wires at an angle(90°) to free up space within the mounting base
