Which are deterrents from burglary since they reduce visibility, and possibly anxiety-inducing since it may be unclear that the fog is harmless. The effectiveness can be increased with a strobe which makes it a bit more disorienting and impossible to know how close authorities may be to pulling up.
It would be easy to makeshift with a normal strobe light and/or fog machine combined with a smart plug set to be triggered on intrusion.
