Is there a way to set the cameras to also record at least 3-5 seconds before it detects motion?..a lot of the time it just catches the motion at the very end of the frame when they have pasted by

I have the same issue. The camera at night most of the time picks up motion as the subject is only right in front of cam, then bleaches screen out a little bit. Then tries to focus and by the time that’s all done the subject is out of screen. Says it’s 1080p but looks like crap and zoom in quality is horrible. To bad.

This is impossible as your camera’s battery would be dead within a day.
You should not have bought a battery camera if you want preroll, because it has the camera active all the time.

All this could be an easy fix with outdoor sensors to catch people before they reach your cameras which are usually pointed towards your property and automation or IFTTT to turn your cameras on. The sensors in the cameras are nice on paper but don’t really work in the real world.
