Our Commitment to Protect You

Dear eufy Security Users,

As you might have noticed, we’ve been working tirelessly to upgrade our system through a number of major updates.

  • Nov. 25th, 2022 - A few bugs were discovered in our system and made public. As a result, we started to investigate the issues and make further communication to clarify with our users.

  • Dec. 3rd, 2022 - Updated security protocols to protect Web Portal links from being played on web browsers in developer mode after logging in by third parties.

  • Jan. 6th, 2023 - The default option for thumbnail preview images being included in notifications was set to text only.

  • Jan. 15th, 2023 - Switched to the WebRTC protocol for all transmitted data when viewing via the eufy Web Portal, enabling end-to-end encryption.

  • Jan. 28th, 2023 - Brought in consultants, experts, and penetration testers to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment of our entire system.

  • Mar. 5th, 2023 - Added advanced encryption for subscribers’ video clips data stored in the AWS Local Cloud Service using industry leading encryption protocols, that users can control within the eufy Security app.

  • Apr. 19th, 2023 - Partnered with HackerOne to initiate the “eufy Security Bug Bounty Program”.

The #1 Trusted Security Platform and Hacker Program HackerOne, like all hacker-powered security, is a system built on trust, earned through transparency, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and more. HackerOne allows IT and security development teams to find and act on software vulnerabilities as soon as they’re reported. eufy Security will then investigate any identified vulnerabilities, repair or remove the issues, and verify the resolution.

We’ll keep going and keep you updated here about our efforts in enhancing the security system.
