I think it would be great if we could select our home wifi network. If the app knows this, then it can assume that being connected to it, means my device is at home.
This should be the default check.
- Check if device is connected to home WiFi
- If it is, set location as home, don’t check GPS, no need
- If it is not, check GPS and determine location of device that way.
This would really help maintain a consistent location when at home and prevent devices switching into away mode erroneously. Plus it’s very light weight and uses way less power than checking GPS constantly.
