It would be so helpful so that when the door bell is rung it can tell you who it is or if it is a stranger.

I think the new Logitech Doorbell is now the first doorbell to be approved for Apple HomeKit and they are in talks to provide facial recognition. They will also recognise people from your photos app and announce who is coming to your door over HomePod.
