Why can’t I access my indoor Cam when my ISP is down?

Why can’t I access my camera (Indoor Cam 2K pan and tilt) using my phone in house, using my wifi router connection when my ISP is temporarily down?
Do I need always an active internet connection even when I am at home and using my in-house router?



It’s most likely it’s not a direct link to the homehub, but to their cloud server then back to the hub.

That said, it should be set up to connect direct to the hub when on the local network (or hub) by default, then connect via the cloud.

One to add to the wishlist i guess.
