Thermal ring...(and hoods!)

So, it’s “proper” winter now, with stuff getting frozen.

So far the Eufy Cam 3 and 2K dual doorbell are all working, BUT I have noted the lens on the doorbell has frozen over every night rendering the doorbell a bit useless until it’s wiped off.

Granted, it would eat a bit of power, but theoretically wouldn’t it be possible to mount a heating wire around the lens, like a car rear window de-icer? And auto-activate when temperatures drop? (or use some AI to recognise blurry/cold image, and warm up?

Also - the Eufy cam 3 (solar) are very good BUT when it rains, rain hits the lens badly. My older Jennov 5MP PTZ camera has a .75CM “hood” that stops this nicely - so from a design perspective, are these things Eufy might consider?

(I’ll happily trial prototypes)
