I have the S220 Solocam. It is in partial shade but usually at half charge. I put it in the sun to fully charge. I wanted to see how long a charge last for and if I can keep them where their at. I have two. I placed them in full sunlight. they were both charging. Now they are not. One was 26% when I put it in the sun. A few house later it was charging, now it’s not and the charge did not go up. Still at 26% in the sun. Any ideas?
P.S. Why is there no drop down box for CHARGING? I’m sure it’s a top concern!
Hi, what was the temperature in your area? If it’s too hot, say like above 90° f the internal temperature of the camera would be much hotter and then a battery safety feature would cause it not to charge the battery. Operating Temperature
-4°F - 122°F (-20°C - 50°C)
Sounds logical. But then again, the sun charges them and the sun is hot. It wasn’t quite that hot today but the sunlight could have been that hot. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. Thanks for the information.
