Setup help to connect the main device to the enternet

I do not have a router that has a cable inlet, is there a way to setup the the device without wire connection to the router?

You need an ethernet connection of some type to set it up. Once you get connected by ethernet, you can add your Wifi credentials and you won’t need the ethernet connection.

I haven’t tried this, but it might work for you.

  1. Take just the Homebase to a friends house and plug it into their ethernet for setup. Add it to your app.
  2. Add your Wifi credentials at their place and then take it home and see if it works. This is the tricky part. I don’t know if the Wifi setup process will complete and save your credentials if it can’t connect to your wifi SSID at your friends house.

If this does work then you can connect to Wifi at your house and continue setup for your devices.
