RTSP not working (401 unauthorized)

Hi,

I’m running 3 Eufy 2K Indoor cameras (T8410) on firmware version 2.1.5.1 . Through the app everything is working but the RTSP streaming stopped working and returns 401 unauthorized…
If I disable authentication it works but on basic or digest returns the error above. It was working before, and of course I also tried reconfiguring the camera but no luck there. Is this happening to anyone else?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem, what’s going on?

Does this issue only affect the Apple ecosystem?

Same here. By using the app. Just normal way (App-login). No RTSP.

And iPhone/Apple, too.

What’s going on?

How to solve?

Same here. Working after reinstalling app.

For people having trouble logging in, reinstalling the app and/or recovering password seems to fix the issue.

As for RTSP, reinstalling the app doesn’t do anything about it.

The same here. The stream via RTSP was working normally, after updating to 2.1.5.1 it stopped working. We await a solution.

Different device, similar problem. Eufy Floodlight Cam2 Pro, System Version = 1.0.9.3. Can watch video with App on iPhone and via https://mysecurity.eufylife.com/.

When first configured, with authentication disabled, it worked. Tried several minutes later (authentication still disabled), it failed.

I’ve since enabled Basic authentication, wondering if that might help. Results in 401 error.

Via the App, I also restarted the camera and re-attempted the stream. Results in 401 error.

Then, after disabling authentication, it works, again.

For the near term, since its only viewed on my LAN, I can tolerate having security disabled. After all, its easy to toggle the RTSP stream on and off via the App.

That said, longer term, I’d like to know if there exists a workaround to have RTSP working reliably with Authentication enabled.

Thank you.

Authentication problem (Server returned 401 Unauthorized) on the RTSP stream with basic auth.
The problem appeared with the update of the camera firmware in 2.1.5.1.

works only with Authentication disabled

Hello, would you teach me how to disable RTSP Authentication? I have no idea disable it.

i have a other language so i am not sure the exact text: general->storage->NAS[RTSP]->RTSP Security->authentication->disable

Thank you. But my Eufy Security App doesn’t have the disable menu.

I’am also missing the Disable button.
Only Basic & Digest

App version 4.5.4_1561(EU)

new version (2.1.6.4) is avalible where the Digest/Basic works again

A few days ago the new app update removed the RTSP connection error but I was still left with a blank screen after.

Yesterday I got the version 2.1.6.4 update on my cameras and RTSP is finally working again.

2.1.6.4 - RTSP is not working - tried both basic and digest on VLC - reinstalled app, no possibility to do RTSP without security. Camera is currently worthless - please advise on how to proceed

Two “Indoor Cam Pan&Tilt” cameras on 2.1.8.3 and still RTSP not working.
