Something that has bugged me from the start is the limited options on the geofence setting. It only allowes for two modes, one for away and one for home. The thing is though that we have a different setting programmed in the schedule for nighttime. I know we’re home, but I would still like to know who’s crawling around our house without setting it off ourselves indoors. So there’s a Nighttime setting.
Google Nest has an option where you set a schedule and geofence. If you’re away it switches to the away mode, but once you return it switches back to the schedule. That way we can be sure the away setting is always active when we’re not at home, the home mode is active when we are and it’s daytime and the night mode is active at night.
Would help a lot in keeping things safe!
