I have 6 Eufy E330 cameras and a HomeBase 3. I connected the cameras and the HomeBase to the same home wifi. I set the cameras to do 24/7 continuous recordings. The recordings are saved to the HomeBase and there is no cloud storage.
My current wifi has 50Mbps download/10Mbps upload speed. However, after I turn on 3 cameras, the download speed I tested drops to around 10Mbps. Watching videos online is lagging, and browsing the internet is also unstable.
I wonder how the Eufy E330 camera affects the upload and download speed? I thought the camera only consumes upload bandwidth, but not sure why my download speed is also dropping?
Also, how much bandwidth do I need for each camera/in total? I wonder if I need to get a new internet plan, and if installing a wifi gateway helps?
Thanks!
